Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, reliable Seasonal Line Cook to join our back-of-house crew for the busy lake season. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality menu items quickly and accurately. The ideal candidate has strong line experience, excels under pressure during a heavy weekend rush, and takes pride in food quality and kitchen safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line Cooking: Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to restaurant recipes, quality standards, and presentation specifications.

  • Station Flexibility: Run and maintain kitchen stations (grill, fryers, prep, etc.) as assigned by the Head Cook.

  • Tech Efficiency: Read and execute orders efficiently using our Toast KDS (Kitchen Display System) monitors to maintain fast ticket times.

  • Food Safety: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace. Follow all local health department regulations regarding food handling, safe temperatures, and sanitation.

  • Prep & Stock: Assist with daily prep work and ensure stations are fully stocked and ready before and during service.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Must be 18 years of age or older (required for operating commercial kitchen equipment like fryers and slicers).

  • Previous restaurant line cook experience is required. * Strong knife skills and deep knowledge of safe food-handling practices.

  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain a positive attitude in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills—must be able to take direction well from the Head Cook.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a 9-hour shift.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move kitchen items weighing up to 50 lbs (such as bulk ingredients, stock pots, or cases of product).

  • Ability to work comfortably in a high-temperature kitchen environment around open flames, grills, and commercial fryers.
